This gorgeous book was originally published in Ukraine in 2015 and is now being published in English for the first time.

When eight year old Cappy discovers a whale swimming outside of his bedroom window, he was very surprised!! Cappy has leukaemia and has not been able to do things he wants - like eating sweets, playing with dogs or roaming outside so you can imagine his delight when the amazing flying whale not only speaks to him but offers him a ride in the sky. Soon they are best friends and together they go on a journey of imagination, hope and curiosity.

This illustrations in this story are just beautiful. Children will love joining Cappy on his adventure with the whale. This is a brilliant story to help children understand what it might be like to live with an illness. At the same time it gives a snapshot of life in Ukraine.

This is a heartwarming, moving story which you will thoroughly enjoy reading together. The recommended reading age is 6+
