"I adore the Factopia Books and so does every kid I’ve shared them with. Some folks think these are gender oriented but I’ve found that all kids enjoy reading about Gross Facts or Hidden ones. There’s definitely a “Did you know?!” excitement to discovering new information for kids."

"I got this for my pre-teenage son, but I'm enjoying it as much as him. It has a lot of interesting and cool facts. (Did you know that there is a type of frog called a marsupial frog that carries its eggs on its back in pouches until they develop into froglets?? Or that an average bed has up to 1.5 million dust mites living in it?!)
We have a lot of fact books, but compared to our others, this one is more engaging and also more user-friendly. Many of our books have chapter/section titles, but this one has that, plus it has a whole index in the back. Can't quite remember that fact about black mamba snakes that you read, but want to share it with someone? Don't worry about thumbing through the pages, you can look up black mamba and the index says it's on page 118. Do you remember you read a cool fact about a farm animal but can't even remember which farm animal now??? Look up farm animals and you can check pages 28, 93, 99, and 106-107. The index for this book is SUPERB."

"Good quality hard cover book with lots of cute cartoon illustrations and random animal facts. Each fact is a sentence or two so it's a good book to pick up and read a few interesting facts per day. I would definitely recommend this for the ages 8-12 suggested in the listing."
