Paulette Buizer

Paulette was born and raised in Manitoba, Canada. She was a high school English teacher for thirteen years before joining an ambitious initiative in the United Arab Emirates to provide 21st century bilingual education to the children of Abu Dhabi.

Having taught English in the oasis town of Al Ain for eight years, Paulette was inspired by the beauty of the country and the warmth and generosity of its people.
She wrote 'How I Came to Be the UAE' for the families of the UAE to celebrate their history and culture as well as their country’s achievements.
