By Judy Carey Nevin Illustrated by Susie Hammer
This sweet board book celebrates different types of children that have one important thing in common: they’re all good kids—and every kid is one of a kind.
Tall kids, short kids,
Build a pillow fort kids.
Shy kids, glad kids,
Love to belly laugh kids.
No two kids are alike and this charming story celebrates those special differences that make kids both unique and similar. Judy Carey Nevin’s bouncing text paired with Susie Hammer’s brilliant and bright art proves that while children may appear to be different, they also enjoy many of the same things. It’s these shared differences and similarities that make every kid one of a kind.

"Board books are always a fabulous gift for new parents, in my opinion; all little ones should start off being encouraged to have an interest in reading and language.
This book is a wonderful reminder to parents and kids alike that everyone is different and yet everyone is valid, worthy, and all children are good even if their behaviour in a moment feels different.
I confess my favorite part is the 'mad kid' who dropped her ice cream. Those sad little scoop illustrations are adorable. Even more important is that kiddo had her anger moment but still got hugs from her parents, because young kids can't always regulate easily and I love this gentle reminder that as adults, parents need to not label their child as not good from incidents like that. :)"

"I bought this for my sister to open at her baby boy’s shower. It’s a beautiful and bold book. It earned many “oohs and ahhs” and was the only book to get passed around by all of the attendees to look at. I think people were curious because it offers a powerful message and is way more unique and personal than ‘Goodnight Moon’. It’s also very Instagram-worthy! Love this book through and through. It will be my go-to gift for new parents and their children. Thanks to the creators!"
