"Our 7-year-old son read this to us and he found it quite easy going. He really enjoyed the page where you have to choose how to spend a budget of 10p at an imaginary shop, and he also liked the way that it's simply illustrated.
For a child of his age, the book was a good reminder of familiar concepts like denominations of coins, saving and change. It was also good that it extended the idea of money into how to borrow things so as to save money and how to give things away to help others (such as charity shops) raise money. All good stewardship concepts.
It's pretty short at only 28 pages or so, but it would have been good to have notes included as well as coins. However, as I think this would work best with 5 or 6 year olds, it's good to keep things simple to make the abstract concept of money as accessible as possible, and the authors have done a good job with that.
Also good are that there's a short glossary, a page of questions about money that you can ask each other and finally a double page spread of 10 ideas for getting the most out of the book which are practical and engaging."

"My niece will love this book, it's great for gifting for special occasions. A gentle introduction for children aged around 4-7 about money and finances. Vibrant images and easy to read text. Very happy to recommend."
